Main Program - Presentation by Artist Peg Richardson
|
The artist herself!
IMG_4544.JPG
|
Peg discussed many things, including what made
a piece of art "interesting". Even numbered pieces are OK.....
IMG_4545.JPG
|
But the human brain (based on scientific
studies) finds odd number "things" more interesting. See what
the centered leaf adds.
IMG_4546.JPG
|
Here, Peg explained adding in a focal
point. And she pointed out what "zones" of an object the brain
tens to cue-in on first -- the upper right quadrant of a piece, as it turns
out.
IMG_4547.JPG
|
Peg was asked to critique various quilts for
placement, color, focus, and so on. We were thrilled out how impressed
she was with the quilts.

based on a Georgia O'Keefe painting, and the audience (and then Peg) found it
more visually interesting when turned on it's side >>
