Guildmembers -- please feel free to send ideas about things -- changes in the way we operate, things you'd like to see us do, events to hold, etc., to this big smile (picture is link), and we'll route it to the appropriate person (e.g., President, Travel Coordinator, etc.)
Guild Officer and Chairpersons NewsPresident-elect Edie Frasier is still looking for people to fill the following roles for 2011-2012. Please contact her if you are interested.
- President-elect (will be President in 2012-2013)
- Historian
Several of our Steering Committee members are swapping positions. Julie Love (the QU Secretary) will transition into the Newsletter Editor position, and Viola Bodrero (co-chair for Door Prizes) will transition into the Secretary position.
Website News
A Website-related Committee is being developed. We need:
• Someone else with website construction and management experience to become the webmaster back-up as well as "webmaster-elect" – willing to eventually rotate into the webmaster position.
• A Photographer – someone who is willing to take good digital photos at Guild Meetings, and if needed, at other Guild events. This person must be able to rename image files to help with identification of the subject of the image. This person must work with the webmaster on file sizes, and transmission of the files (e.g., via e-mail if small, or manual transfer via a jump-drive if large or many).
• Advisors as to web content and editing.

This is a new section for posting pictures of events and quilts we are proud of. Send the image (and text if any to the webmaster for posting. Please limit image file sizes to no more that 3 MB -- the e-mail system is unhappy about eating too big a burger.
Byrd's request
Byrd Tribble asked that we post a picture of the label of the quilt that was given to her at the end of her tenure as Guild President, along with following message:
Hello, Quilters Unlimited! I regret that the Museum Show information card did not mention the QU members who so beautifully appliquéd the blocks of my president's quilt. Look at the label, designed and sewn by Charlotte Williams, and you will see the names of some of our most talented members, including eight presidents. Miss you, Byrd Tribble
