Make a block, bring it to monthly guild meeting and we’ll draw a name. The person whose name is drawn wins all the blocks for that month. They can choose to keep the blocks to make a quilt, or donate the blocks to support one of QU’s Philanthropic causes.
Building on the success in the past couple years with creating blocks for charity quilts, the 2019 Block of the Month will support QU’s Philanthropic causes with our monthly blocks.
But to spice things up and give you a little extra incentive to try your hand at each month’s block, those that complete that month’s block will have their name in the hat for a drawing for a little quilting surprise.
It’s easy to participate . . . whether you can make one block in the year or one block each month, you can join in on the fun! Each month, we will have a specific block pattern and specific colors to use to help you in the creation of the block. Questions? Ask Kerry Cohen.
