How Many Quilts Can a QU Member Enter?

  • The total quilt size/space per person is 64″x75″.  (Which is a “twin” quilt in some books.)  So 1 quilt or 50 quilts, if they fit in that total space you may enter them.
  • They will probably not be displayed together; each requires all the same things (label, pillowcase, etc.).
  • If you enter a Challenge Quilt, it is considered separately and does not need to fit in the 64″x75″space.

Application Form

  • All quilt entries go on one submission form which you may edit until the Application deadline. This includes Challenge quilts as well as quilts for the rest of the show. If you have not yet purchased your Challenge rules, please contact Cathy Sandmann. Challenge quilts are the only ones that need be responsive to the theme “A Walk in the Woods.”

Volunteer at the Show

Click this link https://signup.com/go/KesaeDy to sign up to volunteer for one or more shifts at the show. Your will be offering Opportunity Quilt tickets to visitors to the show.

Can I offer a quilt for sale through the LeMoyne show?

Yes. LeMoyne will keep a 40% commission. You will receive 60%.

What kinds of donations to the show is QU seeking?

Silent Auction items – things that appeal to the general public, including but not limited to small quilted items (there is not room to display large quilts). QU will received 60% of the proceeds; LeMoyne will receive 40%. Please contact Marty O’Neill if you have questions about the Silent Auction.

Gift Shop items – quilted/crafted items that appeal to the general public. LeMoyne receives 100% of the proceeds of sales. This is a great way to support LeMoyne for hosting the show for QU! Please contact Linda Stright if you have questions about items for the Gift Shop. Journal covers in composition or spiral size were suggested at the May Guild meeting if you need inspiration instructions are at https://www.quilttallahassee.com/guild-quilt-exhibits-other-shows-and-travel/qu-boutique/

From the June newsletter: Quilters and Crafters, it is time to show off your creativity! We
need 30 to 40 small items for the LeMoyne Gallery Shop. The sale of these items helps LeMoyne offset the cost of putting on our show.
Plan to make one of a kind or maybe 2 or 3 of an item. The items do not have to be quilt related, if you make jewelry, do bead work, make cards, paint or make pottery, to name a
few other crafts, those items will be appreciated also.
Quilty items can include pin cushions, mug rugs, placemats, needle books, potholders,
“quilted” cards, wallets, pouches, or small wall hanging.
Put your thinking cap on and create some lovely items for the LeMoyne Gallery Shop.
Linda will be collecting items at the QU meetings.
