Quilters and Crafters, it is time to show off your creativity! We need 30 to 40 small items for the LeMoyne Gallery Shop. The sale of these items helps LeMoyne offset the cost of putting on our show.

Plan to make one of a kind or maybe 2 or 3 of an item. The items do not have to be quilt related, if you make jewelry, do bead work, make cards, paint or make pottery, to name a few other crafts, those items will be appreciated also.

Quilty items can include pin cushions, mug rugs, placemats, needle books, potholders, “quilted” cards, wallets, pouches, or small wall hanging.

Put your thinking cap on and create some lovely items for the LeMoyne Gallery Shop.

I will be collecting items at the QU meetings.

: 64” X 75” Max (as stated at the January meeting you can submit multiple quilts as long as the total size of quilts you submit do not exceed 64” X 75”

Quilts Drop Off: August 15 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and August 16 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Opening Reception: August 21, 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Silent Auction: August 21 – September 19 (extended timeframe from last update)

Muffins, Mimosas and Quilto: August 23, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Artist Talk: September 4, 6 p.m.

Quilt Pick-up: September 22 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and September 23 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Pam Doffek will teach “Expanded Convergence” on Saturday July 19 from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Bradfordville School House Community Center, 6808 Beech Ridge Trail, Tallahassee, 32312.

“Expanded Convergence” takes the basic principles of Ricky Timm’s “Convergence” technique and expands them to larger sizes, accounting for various sizes of strips; some bigger to make the sewing easy. Students can work with any fabric square sizes from 18” X 18” to 36 X 36”. Supplies list upon paid registration.

Class fee: $10 to offset community center registration fee. Pam has showm examples before and will in subsequent QU meetings. Samples of student work from class are shown below.

There will be a social at my home on Thursday, April 17th from 6:00 until 7:30. Anyone who is sort of new or very new is invited. It is a chance to ask and share in a slightly quieter atmosphere.
